Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ40 14.1 MP Digital Camera
After posting the flickr Friday Banksy photo, I've been curious about the Panasonic Lumix series. I like the fact it's a slightly larger point and shoot camera, which gives me the feel of being an honest-to-goodness photographist (that's the word, right?) Some of the smaller cameras feel more portable, and it's easier to toss them in a pocket, but sometimes you just want a camera that feels like a camera. So what else does the Lumix DMC-FZ40 offer?
It's got 14.1-megapixel resolution and a 24x optical zoom with 25mm wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens, as well as a three-inch screen on the back, which is much more generous than most of the pocket-style cameras. You can also take HD video, and take advantage of all kinds of intelligent photography modes.
