flickr Friday: Butterfly Stained Glass

flickr_butterfly.jpgWow... we've never seen a butterfly like this, have you? It's a South American butterfly often called the Glasswing Butterfly (genus: Ithomiinae) and the see-through wings are a defense mechanism so he's hard to see in flight.
